Mobile line linking
Under a ruling published in the Diario Oficial de la Federación on January 9, 2026, every mobile line in Mexico must be linked to an identified holder.

What is line linking?
It means tying your phone number to a properly identified individual or company, as part of the regulations in force.
What you need, depending on the holder
Individuals
- • A valid official ID (INE or passport)
- • CURP
Companies
- • Registered company name and RFC
- • The legal representative's ID
- • A document proving the representation
Foreign nationals
- • A valid passport
- • Temporary CURP, if you have one
What does mirlo keep?
For each line, we keep only:
- • Name or registered company name
- • CURP or RFC
- • Phone number
- • The type of ID used
- • The result and source of the validation
- • A reference number with the date and time
Important: We do not store biometric data, photographs or copies of documents.
Do you need to do anything right now?
In most cases, no action is needed.
If the linking does need to be completed, the mirlo team will reach out with clear instructions.
